Digital or Analog ?

I won't write about between digital and analog music differences, I have clear ideas about that and in any case there is room for both. Digital needs some analog as analog needs digitalAt the moment. I want to tell you my vision of "digital" and "analog" speaking about social network. I'm using the network since when it started (even when those who said that Italy would never be widespread and that the only valid means of communication and innovative was the fax). In 1998 I created an internet provider company and I struggled from the start with modems and routers, but especially with browsers and HTML. My experience is born with BBS (arcane systems of social networking), then moved to the forum and web 2.0 when everybody was talking about it but nobody knew what really was, someone finally realized that maybe the mail was an effective and immediate tool, that a site Web could be a great way to communicate and so on. and so on.Now it's cloud computing time (I use professionaly since last 3 years) and it seems the digital revolution. But I will not dwell on these technical aspects.I want us to talk about everything that is social networking. Well honestlyI I'm a little 'tired. I find them redundant and somewhat useless as well as take time to read and evaluate as a significant value for myself. I honestly think that 80% is "trash". The 10% replication of things in some way already known or heard ("heated soup"). 5% can be almost funny to get you to smile and then take a break from everyday life. Maybe last 5% is interesting.I do not want to judge this system, I just want to express my way of dealing with the network. I think people have a need to express what they have inside. Each of us should have the opportunity to do so freely and using as many tools is possible. Social networking is awesome. It 'also true that sometimes the result is really bad quality when I want to express every 10 minutes or every two hours something that is not interesting at all. Looks like to a "bar" where we once found himself shooting "bullshit", remember rosy past, telling tall tales or simply to invent "provincial gossips." Now it seems that the level is raised, it seems that we always talk about more concrete things, of hidden truths, commendable initiatives. No projects?. If there is a will to do something and to work using the "net", sometimes it becomes a powerful excuse (especially ourselves) that we are doing something or we are expressing a thought, a position.Well I am sick of "positions" and "thoughts" and I still really want to do, but when we get down to it you do not. People seem to run in front of a more concrete and sustained commitment. They are afraid to get involved (and I understand them).Who like me, gave up some years ago, now finds himself that what he believed in and one where we had thrown blood and blood is occupied by "selfish" people: they only want to think about themselves.I think that a movement like Occupy WallStreet could teach us something: even now that the press reports have forgotten about them we are still part of the 99%; it will increase up to 99.5% and only the 0.5% will manage the future of the world.So I stopped to write things that anybody will read. I am also tired to write songs for broken passion. Basically there are so many singers out, and see no spring on the horizon that could change my mind.I hate approval that has reached epidemic proportions in the network. And please do not post more on fb that you feel relaxed because you are finally able to ... I'm not interested. I'm not a "digital native", but I know many "digital adoptions". And do not talk about Steve Jobs. He was a good man maybe. I only hate proprietary systems and those looking to make a monopoly of the market. Regardless of whether or not a genius.I still prefer to listen to Eduardo De Filippo, or at least to read about the story of a Mr. Olivetti and what he had tried to do in Italy (but we destroyed it ... so all of us). Non vi parlerò della differenza tra digitale e analogico in riferimento alla musica, su quello ho le idee chiare e comunque c'è spazio per entrambi. Anzi diciamo che ognuno dei due mondi ha bisogno dell'altro. Almeno per adesso. Voglio raccontarvi la mia visione "digitale" e "analogica" dello stare connesso alla rete, di aderire ad uno o più social network. Se vogliamo anche di questo mio scrivere qua. Utilizzo la rete da sempre (anche quando chi diceva che in Italia non si sarebbe mai diffusa e che l'unico mezzo di comunicazione valido e innovativo era il fax). Nel 1998 ho aperto un'azienda di internet providing e ho lottato da subito con modem e router, ma soprattutto con browser e html. Venivo dalle BBS (arcani sistemi di social networking), passato poi ai forum e quando arrivò il web 2.0 di cui tutti parlavano ma nessun sapeva cosa realmente fosse, finalmente qualcuno si accorse che forse la mail era uno strumento efficace ed immediato, che un sito web poteva essere un'ottimo modo di comunicare ecc. ecc.
Ora parlano di cloud computing (nell'azienda in cui faccio il consulente lo adottiamo come fonte di reditto da ormai 2 anni) e sembra la rivoluzione digitale. Ma non voglio soffermarmi troppo su questi aspetti tecnici.
Voglio invece parlare di tutto quello che è social network. Beh sinceramente mi hanno un po' stufato. Li trovo ridondanti e per certi versi inutili oltre a richiedere molto tempo per leggere e valutare quanto di quello che ci trovo continuamente pubblicato abbia un valore significativo per il sottoscritto. Sinceramente penso che l'80% sia da buttare nel "cesso". Il 10% una replica di cose comunque in qualche modo conosciute o già sentite ("minestra riscaldata"), il 5% può essere quasi simpatico per farti fare un sorriso e quindi prendere una pausa dalla quotidianità e forse il 5% risulta interessante.
Non voglio giudicare questo sistema, voglio semplicemente esprimere il mio modo di affrontare la rete. Penso che le persone abbiano necessità di esprimere quello che hanno dentro. Ognuno di noi dovrebbe avere la possibilità di farlo liberamente e con quanti più strumenti. In questo la rete è formidabile.
E' anche vero che a volte il risultato è veramente pessimo qualitativamente. Vivere la rete, e soprattutto i social network, per esprimere ogni 10 minuti o ogni due ore un qualcosa che si ha dentro sinceramente la vedo un'esagerazione. Assomiglia sempre di più al "bar" dove ci si ritrovava una volta a sparare "minchiate", a ricordare rosei passati, a raccontarsi storie inverosimili o semplicemente a inventarsi "gossip provinciali".
Ora il livello sembra che si sia innalzato, sembra che si parla sempre di più di cose concrete, di verità nascoste, di iniziative lodevoli. Beh a me sembra che manca il più delle volte un progetto alle spalle. Se anche c'è la volontà di fare qualcosa e di impegnarsi utilizzando la "rete", a volte essa diventa un formidabile alibi (soprattutto verso noi stessi), che qualcosa stiamo facendo. Se non altro stiamo esprimendo un pensiero, una posizione.
Ebbene io sono stanco di "posizioni" e di "pensieri" e ho ancora tanta voglia di fare, ma quando arriviamo al dunque si fa poco. Le persone sembrano scappare di fronte ad un impegno più concreto e continuativo. Hanno paura di mettersi in gioco (e li capisco), ma questo ha creato una situazione che è sotto gli occhi di tutti.
Chi come me, si è arreso qualche anno fa, ora si ritrova che quello in cui credeva e quello in cui ci aveva buttato anima e sangue è occupata da persone "arriviste" ed "egoiste" che hanno solo voglia di pensare a se stessi.
E' successo nella politica, in un certo associazionismo (quello dove i soldi ci sono), in tutte quelle forme di aggregazione sociale dove comunque si poteva esercitare un potere. Ed in fondo a queste persone la "rete" va anche bene così. In fondo i rompico....ni si scannano sulla rete, e a parte qualche piccolo fastidio in fondo, diciamocelo ... non facciamo paura a nessuno.
Penso che un movimento come 99% potesse insegnarci qualcosa, ma ora che nemmeno la stampa ne parla più abbiamo dimenticato che facciamo ancora parte di quel 99% che diventerà sempre più 99.5% e che solo lo 0.5% gestirà il nostro mondo futuro.
Così mi sono rotto di scrivere cose che nessuno leggerà. Mi sono anche rotto di scrivere canzoni per passione. In fondo ci sono tanti cantori fuori, e non vedo nessuna primavera all'orizzonte che possa farmi cambiare idea.
Odio l'omologazione ormai dilagante anche in rete. E per favore non postate più su fb che vi sentite rilassati perchè finalmente siete riusciti a fare la ca..a. Non mi interessa.
Non sono un "nativo digitale", ma ho visto nascere tanti "digitali d'adozione", in fondo li ho anche aiutati ad diventarlo. Sinceramente, se lo sapevo non mi impegnavo tanto. Quasi quasi torno analogico.
E non parlatemi di Steve Jobs per favore. Odio i sistemi proprietari e chi cerca di fare del mercato un monopolio. A prescindere che sia un genio o meno.
Preferisco ancora ascoltare Eduardo De Filippo o almeno leggermi la storia di un certo sig. Olivetti e quello che aveva cercato di fare in Italia (ma noi siamo riusciti a distruggerlo ... sì tutti noi).
